Use the video tutorials to help you.
1. Capture a video with a green background
Record a classmate or yourself against a green/blue background such as a painted wall or material. Make sure the iPad is in landscape position and that the person is not wearing clothes the same colour as the background. Tip: If you have more than one iPad and have the Pages app then you could use the Presenter Mode on it to create a script that you can use as a teleprompter. |
|
2. Save a background image and combine it with your green screen video
Save a background image from the Internet to your iPad's Photos app (Camera Roll) by holding your finger down on the image for 2 seconds and then tapping 'Save Image.' Then combine it with the video you have from Task 1 into a project in the Green Screen app. Use the multi-coloured (Chroma) wheel to adjust the amount of green or blue you want to remove to make the effect look better. Tip: Add the green screen video first to the top layer and then the background image below. Use the video tutorial to help. |
|
4. Save Projects
You can save the projects as an image or video to your iPad's Photos so that it can be used in other apps such as our iMovie Activity Pack to add music, effects, titles and other videos. |
Green Screen Ideas
Christmas Card
You could make Christmas cards for parents either as videos or static images. |
Drama
Green Screen can really add to drama work such as performances of Shakespeare as shown below. |
News and Weather Reports
Green Screen works well for news and weather reports. The videos could be used with our iMovie Activity Pack to add headline titles and move between the anchor, reports and weather in one video. |
Flying
By covering a chair or table with a green or blue cloth then you can achieve flying effects with your foreground object. This works even better if the background is a video instead of an image. |
