See how the Activity Packs can support/enhance the Primary History Curriculum.
The 3D Design Activity Pack guides pupils through creating 3D architecture using 3D shapes in free online tools. These activities could be adapted to re-create historical buildings such as roundhouses or castles.
The Game Creation Activity Pack includes an activity where pupils can design and create their own viking boat race. If your school has access to Minecraft then the skills taught in Minecraft Activity Pack could be used to create a Viking boat. (see Year 4 example above). Pupils could adapt the Scratch Car Racing Activity Pack for a chariot race. (example image below).
Pupils could adapt our Scratch Quiz Activity Pack to add a historical figure a s sprite and then program it to speak a few facts. Finally, ask the question 'who am I?' to create a Guess Who style game.
The Augmented Reality Pack has ideas that could also be used to create first biographical videos or introduce topics.
