Description
This pack introduces graphic design skills to pupils and also important presentation software, including PowerPoint, Keynote for iPad and Google Slides. Includes 4 activities (activity one is free below) to re-create different icons in a pupil activity pack, which can be accessed at school or home. There are video tutorials for Powerpoint, Keynote for iPad and Google Slides, meaning pupils can try the activities regardless of the device they are using. Plus teacher notes, assessment grid and knowledge organiser.
Progression of skills in this pack
1. Create an icon using different shapes and fill tools.
2. Combine shapes and lines, then arrange them in front/behind each other.
3. Combine shapes, colour and text to re-create an icon.
4. Change the colour, size and style of text to match an icon, then arrange images and use masking and opacity tools.
PowerPoint
Tips: Use the undo keyboard shortcut if you make a mistake (Ctrl+Z).
Also, use the INSERT menu for adding shapes and HOME menu for changing their appearance.
