Data Handling Pupil Activity Pack accessible at school or home, that includes 3 projects that develop skills introduced in our Year 4 Data Handling Pack:

  • Pixel Art using non-adjacent cells.
  • Tour De France project teaches map reading and use of formulae (totals, averages and more).
  • Detective database searching.

Includes video tutorials for Excel (Windows), Numbers (iPad) and Sheets (Google/Chromebooks) allowing pupils to choose the tutorials for the software they have access to.
Plus lesson outlines, downloadable assessment grid and unplugged assessment activity cards/sheet.

Progression of skills in this pack

  1. Select and use non-adjacent cells plus resize multiple cell widths and copy/paste cells. 
  2. Find data and create a spreadsheet to suit it.
  3. Use formulae to find totals, averages and maximum/minimum numbers.
  4. Search a database to find specific information.
