Description
This pack teaches key stage 2 pupils the importance of an operating system to computers, then a range of helpful operating system skills. The pupil pack can be accessed at school or home and includes:
– A 5 minute video tutorial covering the importance of an operating system and the key features of Windows, ChromeOS and iPadOS. Then an assessment task for pupils to demonstrate their understanding.
– A sequence of helpful operating system skills with video tutorials (pupils can choose Windows, ChromeOS or iPadOS tutorials), such as downloading a file, renaming it and split screen.
Plus teacher notes and knowledge organiser.
Progression of skills in this pack
1. Understand the importance of an operating system and its key features.
2. Demonstrate important operating system skills (organising files etc), if possible, across multiple operating systems.
