Layer tracks using sounds and effects. (BeepBox Activity in Pupil Activity Pack 1)
Use various online samplers and sequencers to create drums patterns and scales. (2nd and 3rd activities in Pupil Activity Pack 1)
Create effective instrument tracks. (First two GarageBand activities)
Edit tracks and effectively adjust volume and add effects. (Third GarageBand activity)

🛠 What will teachers and pupils need?
Pupils should have completed the activities from our Year 3 Music Creation Activity Pack to provide the foundation for this pack.
Pupils will need access to the free
Beepbox, Muted IO Drum Machine and Muted IO Sequencer. Plus this website to help pupils with the scales.
Optional Activity pack 2 requires iPads with GarageBand activity.

✅ Assessment
The Beepbox music can be saved by clicking ‘Export’  with a .wav format the best to save it as. Muted IO Drum Machine and Sequence has a button at the bottom of the page that downloads the file as midi file. Garageband can be saved to the iPad, this article includes different ways the music can be exported to other apps.
